Breakfast Protein Idea - Chia Pudding

​Chia seeds have recently become an extraordinary superfood gaining popularity amongst everyone.

They are nutrient dense, containing protein, omegas, fibre and magnesium. This is an easy breakfast that can be prepared the night before and be ready to grab in the morning.


  • 3 tbsp chia seeds (black or white)

  • 1 tbsp hemp hearts (optional)

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or a few drops of stevia (optional)

  • 3/4 cup of milk or non dairy milk (nut milk or coconut milk are delicious)

  • Flavourings of your choice: fruit, nut butters, dried fruit, shredded coconut, dark chocolate chips

Mix all ingredients together and leave in fridge for at least 10 mins to thicken. For thinner pudding, add more liquid.

Here are some ideas for flavour combinations (also works well with overnight oats recipe below):

  • Berries and shredded coconut

  • Mango, coconut milk and shredded coconut

  • Diced apple and cinnamon

  • Sliced banana and peanut butter/almond butter

  • Cocoa powder, peanut butter and sliced banana
